Carrie Bradshaw’s Sex and the City NYC apartment renting on Airbnb

It’s like a fashionista’s dream come true. Producer and actress Sarah Jessica Parker, in partnership with Airbnb and Warner Bros. Consumer Products, is renting out Carrie Bradshaw’s New York City brownstone.

US-based fans of Sex and the City and Parker’s character Carrie will be in BIG heaven when Sarah Jessica Parker will host two, one-night stays for up to two guests each at a recreation of Carrie’s brownstone on 12 and 13 November for just USD $23 a night, in honour of the 23 years since the hit television show first aired.

While guests can sip on cocktails, type at a laptop at Carrie’s desk or phone friends on a circa-2000 cordless phone in the Upper East Side apartment, the highlight must surely be having unique access to the style icon’s closet created by Patricia Field – including the memorable ‘tutu’ worn in the opening credits.

The rental is timed to celebrate the upcoming release of And Just Like That…, the latest Sex and the City film.

“The Carrie Bradshaw character is near and dear to my heart, and revisiting her world for the continuation of the Sex and the City story has been such a joy,” said Parker. “I’m excited for our audience to experience Carrie’s New York like never before and walk in her shoes, quite literally, for the first time.”

Personally, if it were me, I’d also be packing some champagne and re-creating the dress-up scene from Sex and the City: The Movie (2008) where Carrie tries on some of her classic looks to the tune of Walk This Way by Run DMC while Samantha, Charlotte and Miranda hold up ‘Toss’ or ‘Take’ cards. Check it out in the clip below.

To celebrate Carrie’s return to television screens, Airbnb will make a one-time donation to The Studio Museum in Harlem, a contemporary art museum championing the work of artists of African descent.
