Vintage 1970s tulip maxi dress
Terrific in tulips! Oh, cool kats, I adore this vintage 1970s tulip maxi dress by ‘Eye Catcher, Garments of Sydney’. The black and floral patterned dress has all its original six buttons which run the length of the navel to the collar. The fabulous 1970s wide collar could be worn stretched open (get your Carol Brady on!) or flicked up. When I found this dress, it came with a yellow 100% rayon scarf, made in Japan branded ‘Scarf by Fresca’ – it doesn’t appear to be an original pairing but at some point in time, a fabulously stylish lady out there clearly liked wearing them together, and maybe you will too. Noted flaws: the scarf does have some small moth holes; but the only flaw I can spot on the dress itself is a tiny hole to the left of the base of the button panel (see last photo). This bright and cheery maxi dress would turn heads at parties, barbeques or strutting your stuff along a beach promenade with a glamorous oversized pair of black Jacqui O glasses!
Fabric: Not identified but feels like a polyester and note, there is some slight stretch to it
Measurements as per the label:
Bust: 36 inches (91.4cm)
Hips: 38 inches (96.5cm)

Please note, I’m modelling this one and in this picture, I was a size 10 with a D cup bust. I’m only 148cm tall (approx. 4’11”) so if you are average or tall in height, please take that into consideration, as it will fall shorter on you.
